Taking Note

The last time I travelled to Europe I said that I would document every experience in my trusty notebook...unfortunately I never followed through, and as a result, there are so many amazing places I visited and simply can't remember the locations of them all! Terrible, I know!

This time around I will have no time constraints - The world will be my oyster and everything in it will be duly noted.

Pulp Creative Paper will be the go-to shop for all my needs. I just adore the illustrations on all their products as well as their range paper finishes and trims.

You will find their entire range online but will simply be blown away when you visit the store. It is like 'stationary wonderland' with everything imaginable at your fingertips.

These are just a few of my favourite things and will definately be accompanying me around the world.

New Beginnings

So, I will be the first to admit that I have been the slackest blogger of late! I have been seeing and experiencing all of these wonderful new objects, places and people (that will in time be noted) but I am about to embark on a significant chapter in my life that seems to be dominating everything else...

As of July, I will be heading to Europe. I plan to travel to as many amazing places as possible whilst basing myself in London. This is something that I have always wanted to do and now I simply can't wait to see what lies ahead after months of waiting in anticipation.

With about 2 months to go there is a lot of planning to do.

In the coming weeks I will give you an insight on where I'm planning to go as well as continue to share with you what's hot back here at home.

Mum's the Word

This Sunday is Mother's Day - a special day where all mums should be spoilt rotten after everything they do for us the other 364 days of the year!

As kids, we always gave mum breakfast in bed but now that we are all grown up and have moved out, we tend to take mum out for a special dinner instead. This doesn't mean though that I have stopped baking and creating special things for mum...

This year I've had fun creating little 'cup'cakes.

Today I baked blueberry muffins using silicone trays so there was no messy paper. Make sure you have the right size tray to suit the cups you are using otherwise they won't sit right when you put them together.

Shallow cups are more suitable and make sure you have fun mixing and matching different designs and patterns. If you do want to use a larger cup, simply put some pretty tissue or baking paper at the bottom.

For the perfect brunch, add some fresh fruit, finger sandwiches, a variety of yummy teas and a glass of bubbly.

Garden Life

Every time I pass Garden Life in Surry Hills on the way to work I almost have a car accident!

The charcoal corner shop is definately an eye catcher - bringing out the rich green foliage dramatically suspended and beautifully displayed in the windows.

This store showcases a unique range of of plants, furniture and accessories that are sure to please a number of tastes.

Here are some of my favourites you'll find in store...

An amazing range of ceramic tiles from New Zealand

These stunning light boxes that can be customised and used indoors and out. What a fantastic feature to have as the focal point in your outdoor entertaining area?!

The retreat range of furniture made of spotted gum and epoxy coated marine grade stainless steel.

I also love their scale panels and the way the light plays on the reflective surface as the water trickles down. This feature would definately work well in both traditional and contemporary exteriors.

Do yourself and favour and visit these guys this weekend.
