New Season Trends

I have been a crazy woman on a mission for the last week! We have officially settled into the new year and sourcing for new and exciting products has begun.

For the first time, I am positioned in Europe where we are one step ahead so the thought of introducing something new to clients can be a little daunting.

As we SLOWLY make our way into spring, bold colours seem to be what's leading new trends. There are so many amazing fabrics hitting the shelves - linens and soft cottons with bold prints.

I really enjoy the transition from winter to spring. It's like going from watching black and white to technicolor! I look forward to posting some soft furnishings I'm working on soon...

Confiserie Sprungli

It would appear that having your flight delayed can cause significant problems for your hips and thighs when stranded at Zurich airport...

Sprungli has been delighting taste buds since 1836 with their amazing product range that makes them one of Europe's most well known confectioners.

My jaw dropped at the site of their store at the airport - so enticing and tangible that it left me salivating. The richness of the chocolate joinery beautifully showcased the sophistication of each delicious sweet.

You definately can't look past the melt in your mouth macaroons and the handmade dark chocolate when you visit Sprungli - a place that truly helped me pass the 8 hour delay back to London!

Bringing in the New Year!

Firstly, I would just like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year!

We are only 4 days into 2011 and work has already taken off in many new and exciting directions...but before we get into what lies ahead for rocco revolution, let me share with you some holiday snaps...

Christmas this year was spent with family in Zurich where my sister and I reunited to enjoy a unique fusion of both Italian and Swiss traditions. It was my first time in Switzerland and I couldn't help but fall in love with her sheer beauty - the delicate veil of snow draped over the lush green landscape was mesmerising...

Since moving to London it has become a rarity to see blue sky so this was a real big treat. The colours captured in all the photos taken will definately serve as inspiration in some of my upcoming projects.

After such a relaxing week off I am refocused and ready to tackle all that awaits me this year. The first is the relaunch of my website so please stay tuned for that. Until then, I look forward to showing you some completed works from 2010 as well as what's in the pipeline for January.

Lasting Impressions

The perfect chair to 'bum around in'...

I was just flicking through latest edition of Living Etc UK and came across these quirky chairs from Milk Concept Boutique. I think they would be a fantastic feature piece in so many different interior settings - from a creative boardroom to a residential dining table or dressing room.

I'm also loving the Nemo Chair by Fabio Novembre. Such a striking and theatrial piece that acts as a fuctional piece of art...
